Budworth Toppers away training

Two Budworth Juniors, Rosanna and Sian, joined 14 other girls from around the north for training at Bolton Sailing club on Saturday 17 April. Conditions were challenging and the lack of wind gave the sailors a great opportunity to refine their light wind techniques.
The morning was spent perfecting their roll tacks ahead of an afternoon of short races to test the girls' ability to squeeze every last knot of speed from each puff of wind.
All this was enjoyed in clear sunshine. A welcome change to the snow at Pennine SC a week before.
