2026 Sailing Instructions Amendments:
March 28th 2026 - Amendment to Sailing instruction 4.2
Note: SI 4.2 has been amended for a one year trial for the 2026 season to include the ILCA 4. The amendment is part c.
4.2 ILCA 7, ILCA 6 and ILCA 4
For ILCA class starts a vessel may:
a. Sign in to race as an ILCA 7 rig and choose to race with either an ILCA 7 or ILCA 6 sail. Races will be scored on handicap as if an ILCA 7.
b. Sign in to race as an ILCA 6 and choose to race with either an ILCA 6 or an ILCA 4 sail. Races will be scored on handicap as if an ILCA 6.
c. Sign in to race as an ILCA 4. Races will be scored on handicap as an ILCA 4
Results when signed in as an ILCA 7, 6 or as an ILCA 4 shall be treated as separate entries in the RMS and for a series.
Prizes shall be awarded for ILCA 7 rankings, ILCA 6 rankings, ILCA 4 and overall results. An entry shall receive only one prize for a series even if eligible for multiple prizes.
To promote fleet racing ILCA 7 (previously Laser) perpetual trophies are reserved for ILCA 7 results.
Note: any prizes awarded will be in accordance with SI 18 (Prizes will normally be awarded down to third place or 20% of the fleet rounded up, whichever is the lesser number.)
