Facilities

We are very lucky in having a beautiful location in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.

We have a good sized boat park right next to the club house, and a good parking-area for cars as well.

From the boat park it is a gentle slope down into the water. So it's convenient and easy to launch, and to take the boats out again after racing has finished. We have four L-shaped jetties, which allow those who wish to simply tie-up after launching and between races. Much better for the two-man boats, as they don't have to come off the water between races, and the helm and crew can head straight into the club house for a cup of tea and a bite to eat from the Galley!

A major refit of the changing rooms mean we now have even better facilities – the changing rooms have heating (for the winter) and have plenty of good hot showers – then head into the bar area to chat over the day's racing, before heading home

The club has separate main and bar areas – the bar area is very pleasant, fully carpeted and is a great place to relax and discuss the finer points of the race after the day's sailing! The bar is licensed and also stocks a wide range of non alcoholic drinks for those that are driving.

Budworth Mere is fed by a spring – so we can sail all though any summer droughts – should there ever be a drought again!!

Accommodation

Several of the two day open events will find the more hardy travelers, and home sailors alike, taking advantage of the Club's facilities by camping in the grounds. For those less hardy – or possibly more serious competitors wanting a good night's sleep – below are a selection of local hotels and lodges.
