Budworth Sailing Club's annual Autumn Open series , starts on Sunday 3rd November and continues through to Sunday 22nd December. Three races scheduled each Sunday, first start at 12:00. Class racing for Snipe, Solo, Firefly, GP14, Laser, RS200, and Topper classes. Visitor entry is £10 per day, or £50 for the series. Visitors may leave their boats at the club for the duration.

The final event of the Sailing Chandlery sponsored RS200 Northern Tour will take place at Budworth Sailing Club on Saturday, 19th October. The beautiful Budworth Mere, with its trees just starting to hint autumn, welcomed 12 talented travelling sailors for the final of the Solo Northern Series. With so many proven open meeting and series winners it was going to be exciting racing for the entire fleet. The additional 12 home competitors made up the total of 24 boats, including some of Budworth's finest helms, from other fleets, joining in the fun with loaned boats. Bacon butties

In the heart of rural Cheshire, Budworth Sailing Club hosted the SCIRA NW Championship where 22 competitors from the far Northern isles of Orkney to the southern corners of Devon & Kent. Having won the first race, locals Mark and Tracy Antonelli in race two having gained an 80 boat length lead had it whittled away by Peter Wolstenholme and Sian Baird ending in a scrap for the line separated by a few centimetres.
