Ahoy There! Pirates Day and Commodore's Party Set Sail on Saturday 11th July

Prepare to batten down the hatches and hoist the colours as Pirates Day returns to Budworth Sailing Club on Saturday 11th July, followed by the ever-popular Commodore's Party in the evening.

The day promises plenty of fun and adventure for sailors both young and young at heart, as the dastardly Black Beard and perhaps even the infamous Red Beard put crews through their paces with a series of pirate-themed challenges and activities both on and off the water.

Expect treasure hunts, nautical nonsense and plenty of fun and frolics around the club as our pirate captains test your skills, courage and seamanship.

And don't forget fancy dress is strongly encouraged! Arrive without your pirate attire and you may find yourself walking the plank...

As darkness falls, attention turns to one of the highlights of the Budworth social calendar. A spectacular bonfire featuring a specially constructed wooden galleon will be ceremoniously put to the torch, creating a memorable centrepiece to an evening of celebration on the shores of the Mere.

The festivities continue into the evening with the Commodore's Party, featuring:

Hog roast
Fireworks
Jack's Bar in full swing
Stunning sunset views across the Mere
