Gybe Talking - A Boat in a Bottle Talk

This year's Gybe Talking Series continued on Wednesday with an excellent talk from John Greenwood (former Masters Finn World Champion - twice) on sail settings and how to ensure they work optimally on our dinghies. John shared his knowledge and experience in a practical and engaging way ensuring everyone of the 50 odd attendees had something to think about and put into practice for the new season. We heard about vacuums, attacking and defending, polishing masts, woollies, slots, keeping the wind attached to your sails with the help of a table tennis analogy and the importance of being prepared and fully hydrated to name a few. Another excellent evening - many thanks to everyone who helped set the evening up as well as to those who attended.

The series continues on Wednesday February 12th with our very own Pete, Eric and Donald taking us through the thrills and spills of windsurfing and wing foiling and how to get started in this exhilarating and fast growing sport. Doors open at 7pm and talk starts at 7:30pm.
