What does a race officer do? At Budworth SC we have a Principal Race Officer (PRO) and an Assistant Race Officer (ARO). In short they are responsible for the smooth running of the race/sailing programme from ensuring good courses are set, sufficient safety cover is in place for the conditions, recording results and so on.
