    Final Wednesday night: Pursuit race!

    As the days begin to get shorter again, that means unfortunately Wednesday night sailing must come to a close. We will be seeing it off in style with the usual 1 hour pursuit race. This year it will be held on Wednesday 25th August at 7pm.

    PRO training success

    Budworth is a club run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers, both on committee and members that give up their time and expertise to ensure our Mere, Club facilities and sailing opportunities are the best they can be. To support this, last week, 2 sessions have been run to provide support to members wishing to perform as Principal Race Officer for club racing.     Budworth Juniors leading the way at Leigh & Lowton 12 hour race

    Congratulations to Rosanna, Sian, Kian, Finn, James and Joe on their win at Leigh and Lowton last weekend. Close racing was enjoyed with the Leigh and Lowton under 20 team and everyone involved had a fantastic day. It's always great to see the achievements of Budworth sailors when we get out and about!

    Budworth Laser Open 27th June 2021

    A light but steady wind (10mph +) from the East/N East made the Laser open a compeGGve but fun day out for all. 30 Boats entered and it was especially nice to see visitors from Dovestone, Carsington and Leigh & Lowton who sailed well managing to secure many of the top places. The race team led my Steve Hayward introduced everyone to the U Flag at the briefing which gave everyone notice of his intentions

    Solo training day 1st July

    Budworth Sailing Club is holding a training day for members of the Solo fleet on Thursday 1st July, 2021. The day will start at 9:30 am and will cover all aspects of sailing a Solo dinghy from essential rig settings to improving boat handling and race performance. Expert coaching is being provided by Budworth's own Phil Barnes and Luke Shaw. For more details, contact Alan Bailey, Solo Fleet Captain.

    Inaugural Border Counties Midweek Series Open Meeting

    A large new flag celebrating Budworth Sailing Club's 75 th year slowly flapped in gorgeous sunshine at the entrance to the Cheshire club, to welcome a great turnout of 11 visitors and 8 Budworth members, on Tuesday the 8 th of June. Yes, a Tuesday, it was the very first Border Counties midweek series, set up using a similar format but without the age restriction to the successful North West Senior Travellers Series
