“Picture of the Month”

September: This month the “best” picture submitted in the last month is actually a set of pictures of “Team Budworth” at the WLYC 24 Hour race. Great fun, take a look at the Album below!

A selection of picture albums… Budworth sailors at the club and away.

Even on an almost windless evening the raceboarders can get out on the water for a race.

Photos from the Snipe Open at Budworth on 16th and 17th September 2017

Budworth S.C entered 3 boats complete with teams of club members in the 50th Southport 24 Hour Endurance race. A fantastic turnout saw 82 boats competing this year. The conditions were good, and I am sure all members had a great experience. We also achieved very good results, with the A Team coming 10th, the B team 13th (also winners of the Masters Trophy) and the C "Fun" team coming 59th. Special thanks to Paul Hargreaves who took these pictures. You can see his whole album of the race competitors at http://paulhargreavesphotography.zenfolio.com/p656676091/h1228631D#h19cef659

The 2016 Topper Open saw a great turnout from Juniors around the North West, including many Budworth juniors. The day started with absolute calm, but the breeze then came up and a super day resulted, with close competitive sailing for all.

The laser Open 2016 was well attended, with an excellent turnout of club sailors plus visitors and a good wind gave everyone a great day sailing.

The Raceboarders sail on Tuesday evenings. A selection of pictures, with thanks to Gordon Spruce.

Pictures from the club Dinner Dance, on 14th November 2015, which was enjoyed by over 60 club member and guests. With special thanks to our Social Secretary Ali Cormack for organising such an excellent event!

An exciting 2015 Open for the GP14 fleet this year, Some excellent pictures, thank you to Ali and John!

Saturday sailors enjoyed good winds - what a fantastic place to sail! Many thanks to club member John Milsom, for taking these great pictures!

After a couple of us had tried the Solo dinghy (shows GP sailors can sail Solos as well!), the club adopted this as a new fleet, and it is growing fast!
